World’s biggest content aggregator and streaming service Netflix is all set to organise its first-ever virtual global fan event. Interestingly, the event is titled ‘TUDUM’ which is literally the signature sound of Netflix and plays before any Netflix show or movie while streaming. The event is all set to be organised on the 25th of September and will be streamed simultaneously all over the world.
The event will feature stars and creators from around the world representing over 70 series, films and specials and along with that, the three-hour-long event will be showcasing exclusives and first looks of Netflix series, films and specials.
The event will be starting on 25th September at 9.00 am pacific time which will be 9.30 pm in India. The good news for the fans is that the event will be broadcasted live on Netflix’s social media accounts globally which includes, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch as well.
“TUDUM” will also be broadcasted in different languages. The fans of Korean movies, Indian movies and anime content can tune in at 5:30 pm for special pre-shows that will highlight Korean and Indian series and films along with anime content and will be broadcasted on specific channels such as Netflix Anime, Netflix Japan, Netflix Asia, Netflix Korea, Netflix The Swoon, and Netflix India.
The event will be featuring a list of new trailers, interactive panels, and conversations among the stars and creators of popular Netflix series, films, and specials that include popular shows like Stranger Things, Sex Education, The Umbrella Academy, The Witcher, Money Heist, and Cobra Kai.
The fun does not end here as Netflix has announced that its content on the broadcast will be copyright-free for a period of three months. This means that anyone who wishes to react to the event or give commentary will be free to do so and Netflix won’t charge a single penny in terms of royalty for three months.
