Son of Union Minister of State for Home, Ashish Mishra reached at the Crime Branch office on Saturday. He was earlier summoned by the UP police in connection with Lakhimpur Kher violence case on October 3 in which four farmers were killed and other four were also killed those who were in the car.
On Friday, Ajay Mishra, said that his son Ashish Mishra wasn’t able to report to police due to health reasons.
After the arrest of two men, on Thursday, in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, a notice was pasted outside Ashish Mishra’s house, by the police. Notice asked him to appear in connection with the case.
Out of eight people who died, four were farmers who were crashed by car of BJP workers. Angry farmers then burnt the vehicles of the people, causing violence in the area. Situation became critical and internet services were also banned in the area for some time. The other four dead people included BJP workers and the driver of the car.
As per farmers, son of Ajay Mishra was in the one of the car. But allegations were denied by the union home minister saying that his son wasn’t able to present in the event due to some reasons. He also said that he can show the evidence that proofs his son wasn’t in the car.
Political leaders and many people are demanding the arrest of Ashish Mishra. Navjot Singh Sidhu, was on the hunger strike, and broke it after Ashish reached for questioning. Journalist Raman Kashyap was also among the people who died in the October 3 violence.
