Amid the rising threat of Covid-19 cases, chief minister Yogi Adityanath, decided to extend the timings of night curfew. The timings has been extended by two hours. Earlier, the timings of night curfew was 11pm to 5am, but now the timings has been revised to 10pm to 6am.
On Tuesday, in a late night meeting, a team of top officials to keep a check on Covid-19 situation, took the decision of changing the timings of night curfew. The number of cases of covid have crossed 3,000-mark. According to the guidelines, the night curfew will remain effective till January 14.
“Public places like gyms, spas, cinema halls, banquet halls, restaurants etc should be operated at 50% capacity in districts where the minimum number of active cases exceeds 1,000,” said chief minister Yogi Adityanath at the review meeting.
In marriages and other events, gathering of more than 100 people is not allowed, from january 6. “The presence of people in excess of 50% of the total capacity of the ground should not be allowed in open space. Masks and sanitisers should be made mandatory,” he added.
On Tuesday, 992 cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh. Closure of schools up to class 10 have been ordered till January 14.
