The e-auction that started on 17 September will end on Thursday evening at 5 pm. The online auction of PM Modi’s gift was ongoing. Sports items, historical and cultural, religious, and arts took the attention of people. Highest price are paid for sports gears used by Olympians.
The gold medalist, Neeraj Chopra gifted the javelin used by him during olympics. As per PM Mementos website, javelin got the highest bid. The starting price of javelin was 1 crore and now stands at the price of ₹1,00,50,000. Neeraj Chopra’s javelin received two bids.
According to the website, javelin is signed by Neeraj Chopra and was gifted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On October 4, the day of opening, it received the highest price of 10 crore, but due to suspicion of fake, it got canceled.
Sumit Antill’s, javelin had a base price of 1 crore but received a bid of ₹1,00,20,000. Sumit Antil is Paralympic gold medallist. A model of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir made of wood received 24 bids. Model’s starting value was of ₹2,50,000. With the base price of 2500, a metal mace saw the highest bid of ₹5 lakh.
Krishna Nagar’s autographed badminton racquet received the bid of ₹80.15 lakh. Krishna Nagar is a gold medallist in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
With the base price of only ₹10,000, a metallic figure of Ram Parivar including Lord Rama, Hanuman, Laxman and Goddess Sita received 44 bids and the highest one was of ₹1.35 lakh.
Out of 1348 mementos, 1083 received the bids. The government will declare the highest bidders via email after the auction ends.
At the time of last auction that was in September 2019, 2770 objects were placed including instruments, arts, paintings, jackets etc. The money was donated to the Namami Gange Mission.
