On Saturday, Aryan Khan walked out of jail at about 11 am. Bombay High court granted bail to the 23-year old son of Shah Rukh Khan in the cruise drug case.
5 minutes before 10:30, the security team of Shah Rukh Khan reached the Arthur road jail to receive Aryan and take him back to ‘Mannat.’
On Friday, the 3 accused were granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha were among the three accused who were arrested by NCB in a cruise drug case.
After spending, five days in the custody of NCB, arrested people were shifted to Arthur Road jail on October 8.
On Friday, a five-page bail was issued by the high court. Bail was granted under 14 conditions which includes submission of passport, not to influence any witness and make any contact with co-accused, to be present in the NCB office every week. A personal bond of ₹1 lakh is imposed on them and informed that it will release order in detail with proper reasons.
Juhi Chawla, family friend and business partner of Shah Rukh Khan, appeared before the special NDPS court as surety for Aryan. Juhi Chawla came with Aryan Khan’s counsel and advocate Satish Maneshinde.
On Friday, Nitin Vaychal, superintendent of Arthur Road jail, “As per the jail manual, the procedure is that documentation (for release on bail) should be completed by 5:30pm and his documents did not reach us. After due course process, he will be released from jail tomorrow (Saturday).”
