The much-awaited movie about one of the MCU fans’ most loved superhero- Natasha Romanoff is finally released in many countries throughout the world ever since its release it has raked in a large Box Office collection upward of $200 million.
The MCU fans waited have been waiting for Black Widow movie which has been already delayed because of multiple reasons- The Covid-19 Pandemic being the major one of them.
The official synopsis of the movie reads released by Marvel Studios reads“In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.”
In the home market of North America (Canada and USA) the film received much appreciation from moviegoers and collected $80 Million. Apart from North America, the film collected a large sum of money from International Markets as well, which includes South Korea ($12.7 million), the UK ($9.7 million), France ($6.9 million), Australia ($5.3 million), Mexico ($4.8 million), and Russia ($3.9 million). The MCU also brought in $42 million in total from Europe, $26.6 million from the Asia Pacific, and $10.2 million from South America.
However, the Asia Pacific figure does not include Marvel’s sizeable markets including India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The movie was also released on Disney+ with premier access of $30 where it gathered over $60 million wherever available.
Black Widow is expected to be the 4th film to $100 million in the US, after A Quiet Place Part II, Godzilla vs Kong and F9.
In India, Black Widow is expected to release in October as per sources but no official confirmation relating to the release in India is out as of now.
Directed by Cate Shortland, the movie look at the life of Natasha Romanoff and how she become the highly trained ruthless assassin that she is.
Written by Eric Pearson, the film also stars Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Olga Kurylenko, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz.
