The pop-cultural sensation and the currently the world’s most popular Boy Band – Bangtan Sonyeondan or better known as the BTS have released their song name ‘Permission to Dance’ today on 9th of July which is rather a very special day for BTS fans all over the world as today they celebrate the Army Day, i.e. the day BTS announced the official name of their fandom – BTS Army back in the year 2013.
The song permission to dance is co-written by English singer and musician Ed Sheeran.
The music video imagines and gives the listeners a peek into life post the Covid-19 pandemic. The members of BTS are dressed as cowboys and singing the song in a desert location while they announce the end of the pandemic with purple balloons, a colour associated with the South Korean band and their BTS ARMY.
Before the release of the song, BTS treated fans with concept photos and a teaser. The members can be seen in different avatars, dressed as jail mates and chilling on the beach, to washing a car and channelling the iconic American cowboy look.
Ever sing the song released today it has got 32 million views on Youtube alone in 6 hours has their Hashtag is trending on Twitter with more than 3 Million Mentions, certainly making it the talk of the town.
The band will perform ‘Permission to Dance’ at their two-night stint on July 13th and 14th on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in what is being termed their live debut of the song on a U.S. television show.
Besides the new song, BTS has been in the news for many different reasons. The septet has shattered all sorts of records with their track Butter, whose CD version is also finally released today. The song has been on the number one spot of the Billboard Hot 100 since its debut, making it BTS’ longest number one song on the chart. They have also recently turned models for Louis Vuitton’s new collection. BTS also partnered with McDonald’s and released their special BTS Meal which sold like hot cake owing to the popularity of BTS.
