Eight people in connection with drugs were arrested by NCB, which included Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan. On Saturday night, the NCB raided a Goa-bound cruise ship off during the party and found drugs. Aryan was sent to judicial custody for one day, it was believed that his judicial custody will end within one day but it didn’t turn out the same.
On Monday, court extended the custody of son of Bollywood’s superstar. Aryan has been send to NCB remand till 7th October. NCB requires further crucial information from Aryan Khan.
Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were in custody since Sunday. There custody ended on Sunday night and were presented before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R M Nerlikar on Monday, they were remanded to NCB till October 7.
Additional solicitor general Anil Singh, who appeared on the behalf of NCB, said, “Raids are going on now. Shocking and incriminating material recovered in WhatsApp chats of the accused shows international drug trafficking,” He further added, “All the accused persons have to be confronted with each other. The international transactions need to be investigated.”
The counsel of Narcotics Control Bureau said “One cannot say that just because he or she is found with a small quantity, they are entitled to bail. Consuming drugs has nowadays become very common with even college-going kids consuming them. The accused here are high profile persons who are considered as role models by regular persons.”
Satish Maneshinde, lawyer of Aryan khan said, “Nothing incriminating was recovered from Aryan Khan except his mobile phone. His friend (Merchant) was arrested because he had six grams of charas, but that has nothing to do with my client.”
“During the entire period of his (Aryan) stay abroad, he has not been involved in any trafficking, supply or distribution of drugs,”he further added.
Five people arrested named- Ishmeet Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar were booked under the section 27A of NDPS Act.
