Senior actor of Ramayan Arvind Trivedi who played the role of ‘Ravan’ took his last breath on Tuesday, October 5. The 82 year old actor was a former MP from 1991 to 1996. Arvind’s wasn’t doing good with his health and summoned to life by heart attack.
Arvind was popularly known for his role in Ramayan as Ravan. He played an iconic role in the mythological show. He acted in more than 300 Gujarati and Hindi films. His last rights will take place in Mumbai on Wednesday.
“Bahut dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare bich Nahin Rahe Bhagwan Unki Atma ko Shanti De…I am speechless I lost father figure, my guide, well wisher & gentleman”, posted Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman.
Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, tweeted and wrote,“We have lost Shri Arvind Trivedi, who was not only an exceptional actor but also was passionate about public service. For generations of Indians, he will be remembered for his work in the Ramayan TV serial. Condolences to the families and admirers of both actors. Om Shanti.”
Kaustubh Trivedi, nephew of Arvind Trivedi, confirmed the news of death by saying, “He had a lot of age-related health issues and was not keeping well. He was in the hospital earlier and had come home only recently. He died of a heart attack at his residence around 10-10.30 pm.”
The show Ramayan was re telecasted during the lockdown and people enjoyed watching it. The goof old memories came back and actors were loved by all for their everlasting performance.
