On November 15, in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister is going to inaugurate a revamped railway station. The new name of Habibganj Railway Station is now Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. It is termed as the world class railway station.
This station will be India’s first world-class railway station inaugurated by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. With the modern and world class features, the station is made.
Rs 450 crore is the total costing of Habibganj station project. For entry and exit, there are separate gates, inorder to control the crowd.
The station renamed as Rani Kamlapati Railway Station contains all the facilities that are available at international airports. This is the first world class model station. Private company was given this project to built railway station.
Different language board are displayed all over the station informing about the arrival and departure of trains. For 700-1,100 passengers, a seating arrangement is made in the open concourse. 160 CCTV cameras are installed to keep the check. The station has food courts, restaurants, air-conditioned waiting rooms, dormitory, VIP lounge.
The glimpses of world heritage sites like Sanchi Stupa, Bhojpur temple, Bhimbetka, Birla Mandi, Tawa Dam and the Tribal Museum will be displayed on the railway station, as per the report published in TOI.
Abu Asif, Project Director of Habibganj Redevelopment said, “It has been redeveloped as a model station. It is a pilot project of Indian Railways. The project has two parts: One is the station part and the other is the commercial part. Twenty-four hour monitoring of the station will be done from the command and control centre.”
“The project has been designed to improve passenger amenities and offer enhanced experience. There is an open concourse to go to different platforms. There is also a food zone, kid zone, the entertainment zone and retail zone in the station,” he added.
