With the start of winters, the air quality of Delhi is becoming hazardous every year. The air is getting worst due to the burning of parali and emission of pollution from the transports. Garbage burning and dust are also creating pollution and the air quality is getting worse day by day.
On Monday, The Kejriwal led government will submit a proposal on locking the city and its modalities to the Supreme Court. This move is in the view of the increased pollution in the national capital.
The Supreme court asked the central and the city government to take severe actions to improve and enhance the quality of air. Measure were like less use of vehicle and imposing a lockdown was suggested for the Delhi.
As per federal pollution control board data, on the scale of 500, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in and around the capital has worsened to 470-499. This directly indicates that the air will affect people and cause diseases. For those who have healthy lungs can get affected by this.
On Sunday, Gopal Rai, Delhi’s environment minister, said, “In the order issued on late Saturday night by the department, we have clarified that those schools or educational institutions where exams are already being conducted will remain open. All other educational institutions will be closed till November 20.”
400 tanks will be showering water to settle down the dust and pollution in the city. The government will complete the work of spraying bio-decomposer solutions for stubble decomposition in 4,000 acres of fields by November 20.
People are facing a lot of issues like itching in eyes, redness, breathing problem etc due to this increased pollution.
