Festive season in India is about to begin. Upcoming festivals like Navmi, Dushera, Diwali and bhai dhuj are celebrated with enthusiasm and prom all over the country. People gather in the market for shopping and here the question arises, will this festive season give invite to third wave in the country?? Answer cannot be given at this moment. COVID-19 turned out to be one of the worst pandemic that hit the country and took away the lives of lakhs of people.
Despite COVID time, people in India celebrate the festival with huge prom. Our country has seen the downfall in number of cases from last few months. At first, third wave was predicted in August. But fortunately, it didn’t come. Experts says that third wave doesn’t seem approaching due to high rate of vaccinated people. India has crossed the mark of 900million vaccinations. However, constant warning is given to the public regarding the third wave. Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR, warned that revenge tourism may trigger the third wave, with cases surging by over 40%.
Every thing across the country is coming back to track. Schools and colleges are reopening, employees are getting back to work, markets are again flooded, and most important is upcoming festive season. Aren’t these an invitation to third wave? At the festive time, people gather in public places, without taking any safety measures. Nowadays, we can see carelessness in people’s attitude for example, not wearing masks, not maintaining social distance, not sanitizing hands etc. All these are not a good sign to avoid the third wave. People need to be more cautious and careful.
Post vaccination, over confidence has been seen in people. They assume that after getting vaccinated they are completely safe against the deadly coronavirus. Needless to say, vaccination has been saving us. This is the reason that experts believe if third wave comes, it will not be as severe as second wave.
India is back on it’s track with everything opened. But we are standing at the gate and staring at the third wave. Will we be able to beat it??
Follow all the necessary instructions and get yourself vaccinated, one step closed to getting safe. STAY SAFE STAY HEALTHY.
