American tech giant Apple Inc. has finally announced the much-anticipated Magsafe Battery Pack in the market and is right now available in the US market for $99 and the same would be sold in India for ₹10,900.
The all-new MagSafe Battery Pack is now available on Apple’s official website in the US and the company has announced that it would start shipping it from July 19. It is also listed on Apple India’s official website but the announce date is not announced as yet.
The Battery Pack comes with a matte finish and is only available in white colour, it also features a lightning port to recharge it.
The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack capacity has not been officially mentioned on the website but product images show it marked with 1,460 mAh (7.62V, 11.13Wh) battery which is quite enough and is expected to get extended hours of usage on iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 if the battery pack is completely charged.
The MagSafe Battery Pack will show an amber status light when it is charging and once it’s fully charged, the battery pack will briefly show a green status light. When attached to the iPhone, the Battery Pack will also show its battery level and charging status from the Lock screen itself.
The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack can be charged via a MacBook charger at a speed maximum of 27W, however, a slower charger will result in a much longer charging time. Apple recommends using a 20W or higher USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C to Lightning Cable be used with the MagSafe Battery Pack.
The pack provides a charging speed of 5W to the iPhone but if the battery pack is connected to a 20W or higher power source, it can charge the iPhone with a speed of up to 15W.
It is worth noting that the Apple MagSafe battery pack does not come with any charging brick or charging wire in the box. Buyers will either have to buy the accessories separately or use the ones available with the iPhone.
