The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is gearing up for the release of its much-awaited Buds Pro which is expected to be the successor of the OnePlus Buds launched last year.
Last year’s TWS offering by the smartphone giant received mediocre reviews and many even claimed that the Buds were half-baked and launched in a haste.
As of now, there is little information about the OnePlus Buds Pro. They haven’t yet been spotted in leaks, neither have they been spotted on certification sites.
But if the company insiders are to be believed OnePlus Buds Pro is expected to come with active noise cancellation (ANC) and could be priced more than the previous TWS earbuds in the OnePlus portfolio. The company would likely offer a glimpse of these upcoming earbuds in teasers in the coming days leading to its launch on July 22 when the company will also announce all the details, including pricing and availability.
The new Buds pro would be launched alongside the new budget smartphone Nord 2 5G. The company confirmed in one of their community forums about the launch on 22nd July.
“Are you excited about the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 5G launch? I bet you didn’t know the new installment of the Nord series would be accompanied by the yet-to-be-announced Buds Pro!,” said the company.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is all set to be launched with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC that will be a tweaked version of the existing Dimensity 1200 chip.
The phone will be a successor to the new budget line-up of OnePlus which the company calls ‘Nord’ and was launched last year in July.

In a first, the company is also asking its community members to sign up for testing these products and give their feedback ahead of launch. OnePlus is calling them Lab Reviewers and while applications for this testing process have begun, winners will be announced on July 21. Users can submit their applications by 17th July.
The products are expected to go on sale on Amazon on 26th and 27 July during Amazon’s Prime Day sale.
